It is amazing that some people in the Labour Party are so hostile to all women shortlists last week Norfolk County Labour Party voted to have some all women shortlists for some of the County Council divisions that will be up for election in June.
One of those divisions that is an all women shortlist is Dereham North yet some members oppose this measure to address the inequalities that exist in terms of the gender balance at County Hall.
Last night I was out clubbing in Norwich if you listen to the Tories and their tales of gloom and doom in the British economy you would expect Prince of Wales Road to be like ghost town far from it the place was packed with people out partying hard having a good time and spending.
Unfortunately during the course of dancing I managed to pull a muscle in my leg which is still quite painful.
The wildcat strikes that have happened over the past few days are cause for concern I feel some in the trade union movement might have missed the point its not about British jobs for British Workers it is about living wages for living workers regardless of where they come from exploitation of workers regardless or race, nationality, creed or sexuality is still exploitation.
The far right BNP will no doubt try and play the race/nationality card but it is important this argument is rebutted.
